April 19th & 20th, Queen Bee Pinot Noir Release

11QueenBee_750-FrontCelebrate Earth Day With Our 2012 Queen Bee Pinot Noir!  Last year we established a new Earth Day tradition at Patton Valley Vineyard with the release of our Queen Bee Pinot Noir.  In honor of our ongoing commitment to sustainability we crafted this special, small production wine to help subsidize a variety of sustainability projects on our estate.  This wine has supported ventures such as our bee hives and the construction of our new chicken tractors, and we are excited to continue this wine’s charitable legacy with the release of the 2012 Queen Bee Pinot Noir on April 22, 2014.

Retail: $30 (before wine club discount).  Call the winery or email us at guestservices@pattonvalley.com  to reserve bottles today or visit our tasting room this weekend to taste and purchase this special wine!

Tasting Notes:
The 2012 Patton Valley Queen Bee Pinot Noir seems as if it were steeped in rose petals and Bing cherries.  Hints of pipe tobacco and raspberry on the palate provide a wonderfully rich mouthfeel.

Lighter in structure than other wines from our estate, this wine has bright acidity and upfront fruit, making it perfect for drinking in the short term, but with enough weight to sit for a spell.  Drink now or cellar 2-6 years.

May 24th-26th, Memorial Day Open House Weekend

fu-mei 143Join us for our annual Memorial Day Open House, May 24th-May 26th. We will feature a five wine flight to include our newly-released 2012 Pinot Blanc and a three year vertical of our Estate Pinot Noir. Caution, these wines may lead to excessive grinning and unexpected giddiness. We’ll combat these symptoms with tasty nibbles, a stunning view, and lively conversation.

Tasting Fee: $10, includes monogrammed Pinot Noir glass. Free for Wine Club Members.
